Come and Get an Earful of This!

In order to raise some last minute funds for this year's Bardic Picnic, we are hosting an evening of loud exclamations and soul stomping sounds for your delictation!

Opening the evening is 'THE SILENT COMMITEE', the ethereal side project of ENKI'S bass player CHRIS FORDHAM. If you haven't had the chance to experience Chris' looped sounds, cosmic strings and melancholic beauty, now's your chance.

Next up are a sideways slap of larger than life excitement from Milton Keynes way called 'THE SUCCETTES'. Female vocalists set poetry and lyrical lushness  to catchy rythyms and juicy joy to great and lovely effect.

Stumbling in from a life on the Nene and further afield are Northampton's latest burst of musical creativity, 'THE FAIRWEATHER PIRATES' They bounce between reggae and folk with an exuberrance that defy's catergorisation. They might even get you dancing.

And if that isn't enough this year's Bardic Picnic headliners CELTIC RASTA, put their tams away for a night to show us what they can do with the rocking blues. Mojo Rising? We jolly well hope so!

And just to show we haven't forgotten what we're about some of our top poets will be weaving rhymes in between the the acts, including a certain Bard of Northampton JOE BUNN, who will be one of your hosts for the evening.

JIM-TOM and JUSTIN THYME will fill in the blanks and the LABOUR CLUB will grease the wheels with reasonably priced booze and an amiable ambience.

Come and support this worthy cause and have a great nigh to boot! It is Northampton after all. WORD!
